For Educators
Would you like a fresh voice to teach the abstinence component of your sexual health curriculum at no cost?
Last school year, the staff of Amplify Youth Development made interactive presentations to more than 7,500 middle school and high school students in DuPage County. Located in Downers Grove, Amplify Youth Development is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help teenagers make good choices that lead to healthy relationships and successful futures.
Our instructors deliver engaging presentations—a mix of medical facts and personal testimony—that promote honesty, authenticity, and openness in the classroom. We currently provide abstinence education for schools like Crone Middle School in Naperville, St. Francis High School in Wheaton, Addison Trail High School in Addison, and Cass Junior High in Darien. (For a complete list of current school partners, go here.)
Our follow-up studies show that students listen and are motivated by our curriculum. A teacher from Lake Park East High School commented, “The sessions were very understandable for students. They were enthusiastic about the program—they even discussed it with other students in the halls!”
