1. How much time do you need?
The cornerstone of Amplify's program is a relationship-based, student-centered model of teaching. In order to adequately implement this model, we request at least five hours with students. Typically, these five hours are spread out over five class periods (one week of education). In non-traditional settings, we will work with you to determine the best way to use Amplify's program.

2. What will you cover?
Amplify Youth Development offers a holistic approach to sexual health education that seeks to address more than just "the birds and the bees." In middle schools, we offer an introduction to sexual wellness that helps students understand how sex can affect a person physically, emotionally and socially. In high schools, our program emphasizes healthy relationship formation with preparation for long-term commitment in relationships. All programs emphasize the benefits of abstaining from sex outside of a marriage relationship and address issues of peer pressure and goal setting. For more specific information, please see our curriculum breakdown.

3. What services do you provide outside of the classroom?
Amplify Youth Development provides services for parents as well as for students. These services include 2-hour parent workshops that equip parents to help their children abstain from sexual activity. We also offer a monthly newsletter and weekly blog for parents.
In addition to our services for parents, Amplify offers a website and Facebook page with question-and-answer opportunities for students. For teens who would like more support or who want to become more involved with Amplify, we also offer internship opportunities.

4. What qualifications do your educators have?
Amplify educators are carefully selected for their passion to see teens achieve healthy, successful futures. They receive extensive training in both the content of our program and the philosophy behind how we teach. Educators become certified by the National Abstinence Clearinghouse and Love Thinks, Inc. Amplify has also received extensive coaching from Andrew Robinson, founder of People Change People. Through our extensive training process and regular observation and coaching, we seek to ensure that our program maintains the highest level of effectiveness and accuracy.

5. Does your school program have religious content?
Amplify complies with all state and federal guidelines for programs that teach abstinence. We work with both public and private institutions, ensuring that we teach our curricula in a manner consistent with the values of each of our partner organizations. Our program is based on current research about sexual health, bonding, and relationship formation. We are careful to teach in a sensitive manner that allows for multiple points of view while communicating the core message that abstinence from sexual activity outside of marriage is the safest and healthiest choice.
